Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Middle Creek Mustangs (Apex, NC), 8-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Hoggard upgrades its record to 17-8 on the season. The Vikings travel to Wake Forest (Wake Forest, NC) to battle the Cougars in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 16. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 21-4. Wake Forest won 11-0 in their recent non-league test against Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC)

With the defeat, Middle Creek falls to 20-5 on the season.
