The Elwood Panthers (Elwood, IN) baseball got by the host Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN), 9-8 in Monday's non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 3-19 record. They take the field next when they host Alexandria-Monroe for a Central Indiana challenge on Tuesday, May 13. Elwood will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 13-2 non-league win over Wes-Del (Gaston, IN). The Tigers record now stands at 12-9.

With the defeat, Monroe Central drops to 10-12 on the year. The Golden bears host Richmond (Richmond, IN) to clash with the Red Devils in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 14.
