Illinois High School Softball - Manteno bounces Coal City
May 13, 2025: Manteno, IL 60950 The Manteno Panthers softball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Coal City Coalers to 0 in the Panthers league win on Tuesday.
The Panthers now sport a 19-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bradley-Bourbonnais for a non-league battle on Thursday, May 15. Manteno will confront a Boilermakers team coming off a 4-0 league win over Andrew (Tinley Park, IL). The Boilermakers record now stands at 17-10.
With the loss, Coal City moves to 17-10 on the season. The Coalers travel to Ottawa (Ottawa, IL) to confront the Pirates in a non-league battle on Thursday, May 15. The Pirates come into the battle with a record of 15-10. Ottawa won 7-3 in their recent league game against Rochelle (Rochelle, IL)
