In Wednesday's league match, the host McDaniel Mountain Lions softball team scored a tight 9-8 victory over the Roosevelt Roughriders.

The Mountain Lions (14-10) will now prepare for their match against Lincoln (Portland, OR). The Cardinals go into the 6A Portland Interscholastic match with a 4-18 record. In their last contest, Lincoln Grant (Portland, OR), 3-3, in a league contest.
