Michigan High School Softball - Houghton edges Hancock
May 14, 2025: Houghton, MI 49931 In Wednesday's league match, the host Houghton Gremlins softball team scored a tight 6-4 win over the Hancock Bulldogs.
The Gremlins (8-8) will now prepare for their match against Lake Linden-Hubbell (Lake Linden, MI). The Lakes come into the non-league match with a 18-4 record. In their last match, Lake Linden-Hubbell nipped Ontonagon (Ontonagon, MI), 21-6, in a league match.
In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Westwood Patriots (Ishpeming, MI) in a Western Peninsula match, on Monday, May 19. Hancock will attempt to better on its 9-9 season record. The Patriots come into the match with a 3-8 record after their 18-1 non-league win over Gwinn (Gwinn, MI).
