The Monticello Mustangs softball squad (Charlottesville, VA), was routed 7-1 in Thursday's league contest with the host Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA)

With the triumph, Louisa County improves its record to 11-9 on the year. The Lions travel to Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA) to face the Flucos in a Jefferson contest on Tuesday, May 19. The Flucos enter the contest with a record of 13-6. Fluvanna County lost 13-5 in their recent league contest against Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA)

The Mustangs now hold a 7-13 record. They play next when they travel to Orange County for a Jefferson contest on Monday, May 18. Monticello will face a Fighting Hornets squad coming off a 5-3 league loss to Goochland (Goochland, VA). The Fighting Hornets record now stands at 17-5.
