In Thursday's league game, the host St. Joseph Bears baseball team scored a close 4-3 win over the Portage Central Mustangs.

The Bears (10-11) will now prepare for their game against Vicksburg (Vicksburg, MI). The Bulldogs go into the non-league game with a 11-8 record. In their last game, Vicksburg nudged Otsego (Otsego, MI), 11-0, in a league game.
