Rhode Island High School Baseball - Ponaganset nudged by Woonsocket
May 16, 2023: Woonsocket, RI 02895 The Woonsocket Villa Novans nudged the visiting Ponaganset Chieftains baseball team by a tally of 7-6 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Villa Novans now hold a 8-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Westerly for a Division 2 bout on Thursday, May 18. Woonsocket will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 7-0 league win over East Providence (East Providence, RI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-9.
Next, the Chieftains face the East Providence Townies (East Providence, RI) in a Division 2 bout, on Thursday, May 18. Ponaganset will attempt to advance on its 11-7 season record. The Townies enter the bout with a 12-5 record after their 7-0 league loss to Westerly (Westerly, RI).
