Massachusetts High School Softball - Gloucester bounces Beverly
May 17, 2023: Beverly, MA 01915 The crowd at Wednesday's league match between the Gloucester Fishermen (Gloucester, MA) and the host Beverly Panthers (Beverly, MA), saw Gloucester's softball squad nip Beverly by a count of 7-1.
The Fishermen now sport a 12-5 record. They take the field next when they host Peabody Veterans Memorial for a Northeast match on Thursday, May 18. Gloucester will face a Tanners squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Danvers (Danvers, MA). The Tanners record now stands at 8-0.
With the loss, Beverly falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Panthers host Swampscott (Swampscott, MA) to face the Big Blue in a Northeast match on Monday, May 22. The Big Blue enter the match with a record of 4-11. Swampscott lost 12-1 in their recent league match against Marblehead (Marblehead, MA)
