The Galax Maroon Tide baseball team scored 6 runs and held the host Bland County Bears to 5 in the Maroon Tide league win on Friday.

The Maroon Tide now own a 1-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fort Chiswell for a Mountain Empire test on Tuesday, May 6. Galax will play a Pioneers team coming off a 9-0 league win over George Wythe (Wytheville, VA). The Pioneers record now stands at 12-2.
