May 27, 2025: Solon, IA 52333 Solon Spartans (Solon, IA) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Beckman Trailblazers (Dyersville, IA), 6-1 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Solon upgrades its record to 2-0 on the year. The Spartans host Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA) to play the Mustangs in a WaMaC-East game on Thursday, May 29. The Mustangs enter the game with a record of 1-0. Mt. Vernon won 8-0 in their recent non-league game against Central DeWitt (DeWitt, IA)
The Trailblazers now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Camanche for a River Valley - North game on Thursday, May 29.
