Iowa High School Softball - Turkey Valley topped by Starmont
May 27, 2025: Jackson Junction, IA 52171 Starmont Stars (Arlington, IA) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Turkey Valley Trojans (Jackson Junction, IA), 13-0 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Starmont upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Stars travel to East Buchanan (Winthrop, IA) to play the Buccaneers in a Tri-Rivers - West game on Thursday, May 29. The Buccaneers enter the game with a record of 2-0. East Buchanan won 5-1 in their recent non-league game against Midland (Wyoming, IA)
The Trojans now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Decorah-North Winneshiek for a non-league game on Thursday, May 29. Turkey Valley will play a Vikings squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over South Winneshiek (Calmar, IA). The Vikings record now stands at 1-0.
