May 29, 2025: Van Meter, IA 50261 The Van Meter Bulldogs triumphed over the visiting Woodward-Granger Hawks softball squad by a count of 16-3 in Thursday's league challenge.
Next, the Bulldogs meet the Ballard Bombers (Huxley, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, May 31. Van Meter will attempt to upgrade on its 4-0 season record. The Bombers enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 10-2 league loss to Boone (Boone, IA).
The Hawks (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, IA). The Plainsmen enter the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Belle Plaine was routed by B-G-M (Brooklyn, IA), 21-0, in a league challenge.
