Virginia High School Soccer - Bassett held off by Tunstall
May 3, 2024: Dry Fork, VA 24549 In Friday's league battle, the host Tunstall Trojans soccer squad scored a close 4-3 triumph over the Bassett Bengals.
The Trojans (9-3) will now prepare for their battle against Martinsville (Martinsville, VA). The Bulldogs come into the Piedmont battle with a 0-13 record. In their last battle, Martinsville was nudged by Halifax County (South Boston, VA), 8-0, in a league test.
With the loss, Bassett drops to 5-9 on the season. The Bengals travel to Halifax County (South Boston, VA) to encounter the Comets in a Piedmont test on Tuesday, May 7. The Comets come into the test with a record of 9-5. Halifax County won 8-0 in their recent league test against Martinsville (Martinsville, VA)
