May 30, 2024: West Liberty, IA 52776 The West Liberty Comets routed the visiting Tipton Tigers softball squad by a count of 10-2 in Thursday's non-league battle.
The Comets (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Monticello (Monticello, IA). The Panthers go into the River Valley - South battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Monticello topped Calamus-Wheatland (Wheatland, IA), 8-6, in a non-league battle.
The Tigers now sport a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to West Branch for a non-league battle on Monday, June 3. Tipton will meet a Bears squad coming off a 13-4 non-league loss to Camanche (Camanche, IA). The Bears record now stands at 0-7.
