Virginia High School Softball - Bethel bounces Woodside
May 4, 2023: Hampton, VA 23666 Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Bethel Bruins (Hampton, VA) and the visiting Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA), witnessed Bethel's softball squad prevail over Woodside by a count of 13-1.
The Bruins now sport a 11-3 record. They play next when they host Menchville for a Peninsula match on Tuesday, May 9. Bethel will meet a Monarchs squad coming off a 22-7 league win over Gloucester (Gloucester, VA). The Monarchs record now stands at 13-2.
With the loss, Woodside moves to 3-11 on the season. The Wolverines host Heritage (Newport News, VA) to clash with the Hurricanes in a Peninsula game on Monday, May 8. The Hurricanes come into the game with a record of 1-13. Heritage lost 13-0 in their recent league game against Warwick (Newport News, VA)
