May 4, 2023: Castlewood, VA 24224 In Thursday's league outing, the host Castlewood Blue Devils softball team scored a close 3-1 win over the Twin Springs Titans.
Coming up next, the Blue Devils battle the Eastside Spartans (Coeburn, VA) in a Cumberland outing, on Monday, May 8. Castlewood will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Spartans enter the outing with a 9-9 record after their 4-1 league loss to Rye Cove (Clinchport, VA).
The Titans (3-9) will now prepare for their outing against Thomas Walker (Ewing, VA). The Pioneers enter the Cumberland outing with a 0-8 record. In their last outing, Thomas Walker by J.I. Burton (Norton, VA), 17-1, in a league outing.
