New York High School Softball - Mount Sinai bounces Shoreham-Wading River
May 4, 2023: Mount Sinai, NY 11766 Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Mount Sinai Mustangs (Mount Sinai, NY) and the visiting Shoreham-Wading River Wildcats (Shoreham, NY), witnessed Mount Sinai's softball squad prevail over Shoreham-Wading River by a count of 10-2.
The Mustangs now sport a 13-3 record. They play next when they travel to Pierson/Bridgehampton for a Section 11 C/D-8 match on Saturday, May 6. Mount Sinai will face a Whalers squad coming off a 18-6 league loss to Rocky Point (Rocky Point, NY). The Whalers record now stands at 0-4.
With the loss, Shoreham-Wading River moves to 2-2 on the season. The Wildcats host Hampton Bays (Hampton Bays, NY) to face the Baymen in a Section 11 A-6 match on Saturday, May 6. The Baymen go into the match with a record of 1-14. Hampton Bays lost 12-0 in their recent league match against Bayport-Blue Point (Bayport, NY)
