West Virginia High School Softball - Weir bounces Oak Glen
May 4, 2024: Weirton, WV 26062 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Weir Red Riders (Weirton, WV) and the visiting Oak Glen Golden Bears (New Cumberland, WV), witnessed Weir's softball squad prevail over Oak Glen by a count of 12-4.
The Red Riders now sport a 18-9 record. They play next when they host University for a non-league match on Wednesday, May 8. Weir will face a Hawks squad coming off a 13-2 non-league win over Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV). The Hawks record now stands at 18-9.
With the loss, Oak Glen moves to 17-13 on the season.
