Maryland High School Baseball - Archbishop Spalding gets by Loyola Blakefield
May 5, 2023: Towson, MD 21204 Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers (Severn, MD) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Loyola Blakefield Dons (Towson, MD), 2-0 in a league test.
With the win, Archbishop Spalding upgrades its record to 19-5 on the season. The Cavaliers host Mount St. Joseph (Baltimore, MD) to battle the Gaels in a MIAA A test on Monday, May 8. The Gaels come into the test with a record of 12-11. Mount St. Joseph won 5-4 in their recent league test against John Carroll (Bel Air, MD)
With the defeat, Loyola Blakefield falls to 11-7 on the season. The Dons host Gilman (Baltimore, MD) to battle the Greyhounds in a MIAA A test on Monday, May 8. The Greyhounds come into the test with a record of 11-11. Gilman lost 6-2 in their recent non-league test against Dulaney (Timonium, MD)
