Virginia High School Baseball - Northside holds off Franklin County
May 5, 2025: Roanoke, VA 24019 The Northside Vikings (Roanoke, VA) baseball the visiting Franklin County Eagles (Rocky Mount, VA), 10-6 in Monday's league challenge.
The Vikings now own a 12-5 record. They take the field next when they host Fleming for a Blue Ridge challenge on Tuesday, May 6. Northside will clash with a Colonels team coming off a 7-6 non-league win over Martinsville (Martinsville, VA). The Colonels record now stands at 1-14.
With the defeat, Franklin County drops to 9-4 on the year. The Eagles travel to Staunton River (Moneta, VA) to clash with the Golden Eagles in a Blue Ridge challenge on Tuesday, May 6. The Golden Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 8-7. Staunton River lost 12-2 in their recent league challenge against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA)
