In Saturday's league contest, the AuSable Valley Patriots (Clintonville, NY) softball team held off the visiting Saranac Lake Red Storm (Saranac Lake, NY), by a margin of 1-0.

With the triumph, AuSable Valley moves its record to 4-3 on the year. The Patriots travel to Ticonderoga (Ticonderoga, NY) to play the Sentinels in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I contest on Tuesday, May 9. The Sentinels come into the contest with a record of 6-4. Ticonderoga won 17-14 in their recent league contest against Moriah (Port Henry, NY)
