Spectators at Friday's league match between the Peru Nighthawks (Peru, NY) and the visiting AuSable Valley Patriots (Clintonville, NY), witnessed Peru's softball squad prevail over AuSable Valley by a count of 20-2.

The Nighthawks now sport a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Moriah for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I match on Tuesday, May 2. Peru will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 9-7 league loss to Beekmantown (Plattsburgh, NY). The Vikings record now stands at 1-4.
