New York High School Softball - Plattsburgh gets by Peru
April 21, 2023: Peru, NY 12972 The Plattsburgh Hornets (Plattsburgh, NY) softball nipped the host Peru Nighthawks (Peru, NY), 11-10 in Friday's league bout.
The Hornets (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against Moriah (Port Henry, NY). The Vikings go into the Section 7 Champlain Valley I bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, Moriah was edged by Saranac Lake (Saranac Lake, NY), 15-4, in a league bout.
The Nighthawks now possess a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Massena for a non-league bout on Saturday, April 22. Peru will confront a Red Raiders squad coming off a 8-0 league win over Ogdensburg Free Academy (Ogdensburg, NY). The Red Raiders record now stands at 1-2.
