New York High School Softball - Moriah topped by Plattsburgh
April 24, 2023: Port Henry, NY 12974 In Monday's league contest, the Plattsburgh Hornets (Plattsburgh, NY) softball team overwhelmed the host Moriah Vikings (Port Henry, NY), by a margin of 21-3.
With the triumph, Plattsburgh moves its record to 3-0 on the year. The Hornets travel to Ticonderoga (Ticonderoga, NY) to play the Sentinels in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I contest on Wednesday, April 26. The Sentinels come into the contest with a record of 2-2. Ticonderoga won 9-8 in their recent league contest against Northern Adirondack (Ellenburg Depot, NY)
In their next game, the Vikings play the Saranac Chiefs (Saranac, NY) in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I contest, on Wednesday, April 26. Moriah will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Chiefs come into the contest with a 5-0 record after their 7-6 non-league win over Massena (Massena, NY).
