New York High School Softball - Peru holds off Plattsburgh
May 23, 2023: Plattsburgh, NY 12901 Peru Nighthawks (Peru, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Plattsburgh Hornets (Plattsburgh, NY), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Nighthawks now own a 12-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Saranac for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I challenge on Friday, May 26. Peru will battle a Chiefs squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Saranac Lake (Saranac Lake, NY). The Chiefs record now stands at 12-7.
With the loss, Plattsburgh falls to 11-3 on the campaign.
