Wayland-Cohocton Eagles (Wayland, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Hammondsport Lakers (Hammondsport, NY), 30-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they host Haverling for a Livingston County Division I challenge on Wednesday, May 8. Wayland-Cohocton will battle a Rams squad coming off a 7-5 non-league win over Keshequa (Nunda, NY). The Rams record now stands at 12-1.
