New York High School Softball - Phoenix loses to Mexico
May 6, 2024: Mexico, NY 13114 The Mexico Tigers softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Phoenix Firebirds to 0 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Monday.
With the triumph, Mexico improves its record to 3-6 on the year. The Tigers travel to Homer (Homer, NY) to clash with the Trojans in a Section 3 Liberty 1 game on Tuesday, May 7. The Trojans come into the game with a record of 0-11. Homer lost 22-1 in their recent league game against Westhill (Syracuse, NY)
In their next game, the Firebirds clash with the Cazenovia Lakers (Cazenovia, NY) in a Section 3 Liberty 2 game, on Tuesday, May 7. Phoenix will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record. The Lakers come into the game with a 3-4 record after their 10-7 non-league loss to Cincinnatus Central (Cincinnatus, NY).
