Virginia High School Baseball - James River loses to Carroll County
May 6, 2025: Buchanan, VA 24066 Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) fans left the game pleased Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host James River Knights (Buchanan, VA), 12-2 in a league match.
With the triumph, Carroll County advances its record to 15-2 on the season. The Cavaliers host Grayson County (Independence, VA) to battle the Blue Devils in a non-league match on Thursday, May 8. The Blue Devils come into the match with a record of 10-6. Grayson County won 12-1 in their recent league match against George Wythe (Wytheville, VA)
The Knights now have a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Patrick Henry for a non-league match on Thursday, May 8. James River will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 12-2 league loss to Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 5-13.
