The Minnewaska Area Lakers overwhelmed the host Montevideo Thunderhawks softball squad by a count of 10-3 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Lakers meet the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers (Morris, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, May 9. Minnewaska Area will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Tigers go into the challenge with a 12-1 record after their 7-1 non-league win over Melrose (Melrose, MN).

The Thunderhawks (1-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Sauk Centre (Sauk Centre, MN). The Mainstreeters enter the West Central game with a 3-9 record.
