In Wednesday's league bout, the Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains (Bascom, OH) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting St. Joseph Central Catholic Crimson Streaks (Fremont, OH), by a tally of 9-1.

Next up, the Chieftains encounter the St. Mary Central Catholic Panthers (Sandusky, OH) in a Sandusky Bay - River bout, on Friday, May 9. Hopewell-Loudon will attempt to upgrade on its 14-4 season record. The Panthers enter the bout with a 11-8 record after their 5-4 league loss to Gibsonburg (Gibsonburg, OH).
