The Miners now own a 13-7 record. They take the field next when they host Litchfield for a South Central test on Friday, May 9.

With the defeat, Marquette Catholic drops to 14-13 on the year. The Explorers travel to East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL) to clash with the Oilers in a non-league test on Friday, May 9.
