In Tuesday's league challenge, the Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA) baseball squad triumphed over the host West Point Pointers (West Point, VA), by a final score of 9-2.

With the win, Mathews upgrades its record to 8-9 on the season. The Blue Devils host Middlesex (Saluda, VA) to encounter the Chargers in a Tidewater challenge on Thursday, May 11. The Chargers come into the challenge with a record of 12-6. Middlesex lost 3-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Rappahannock (Warsaw, VA)

With the defeat, West Point falls to 6-9 on the season. The Pointers travel to Charles City (Charles City, VA) to encounter the Panthers in a Tidewater challenge on Wednesday, May 10.
