In Friday's league game, the host Appomattox County Raiders baseball team scored a close 5-2 win over the Nelson County Governors.

The Raiders (11-6) will now prepare for their game against Chatham (Chatham, VA). The Cavaliers go into the Dogwood game with a 1-14 record. In their last game, Chatham by William Campbell (Naruna, VA), 14-1, in a league game.
