The Mt. Vernon Marauders baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Muncie Central Bearcats to 5 in the Marauders non-league win on Friday.

The Marauders now own a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they host Muncie Central for a non-league test on Friday, May 9. Mt. Vernon will play a Bearcats team coming off a 7-5 non-league win over Cowan (Muncie, IN). The Bearcats record now stands at 4-14.

With the defeat, Muncie Central drops to 4-16 on the year. The Bearcats travel to Mt. Vernon (Fortville, IN) to play the Marauders in a non-league test on Friday, May 9.
