Iowa High School Softball - Storm Lake bounces Spencer
June 14, 2024: Spencer, IA 51301 The Storm Lake Tornadoes routed the host Spencer Tigers softball squad by a final score of 10-1 in Friday's league battle.
The Tornadoes (12-2) will now prepare for their battle against Gehlen Catholic (Le Mars, IA). The Jays go into the non-league battle with a 8-4 record. In their last battle, Gehlen Catholic topped Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union (Marcus, IA), 14-8, in a league battle.
The Tigers now possess a 3-15 record. They play next when they travel to Estherville Lincoln Central for a Lakes battle on Monday, June 17. Spencer will meet a Midgets squad coming off a 12-1 non-league win over Roland-Story (Story City, IA). The Midgets record now stands at 21-4.
