June 9, 2025: Alburnett, IA 52202 Alburnett Pirates (Alburnett, IA) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Central City Wildcats (Central City, IA), 6-0 in a league game.
With the triumph, Alburnett upgrades its record to 10-4 on the year. The Pirates travel to East Buchanan (Winthrop, IA) to play the Buccaneers in a Tri-Rivers - West game on Tuesday, June 10. The Buccaneers enter the game with a record of 5-8. East Buchanan lost 8-7 in their recent league game against Springville (Springville, IA)
The Wildcats now own a 8-10 record. They play next when they host North Cedar for a non-league game on Tuesday, June 10.
