Iowa High School Softball - Midland topped by Central City
June 12, 2025: Central City, IA 52214 Central City Wildcats (Central City, IA) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Midland Eagles (Wyoming, IA), 8-0 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Central City improves its record to 9-10 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Pekin (Packwood, IA) to play the Panthers in a non-league game on Saturday, June 14. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 5-7. Pekin lost 9-7 in their recent league game against Highland (Riverside, IA)
The Eagles now hold a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Clinton for a non-league game on Saturday, June 14. Midland will play a River Kings squad coming off a 16-4 league loss to Davenport Central (Davenport, IA). The River Kings record now stands at 2-13.
