May 27, 2025: Winthrop, IA 50682 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the East Buchanan Buccaneers (Winthrop, IA) and the visiting Midland Eagles (Wyoming, IA), observed East Buchanan's softball team get by Midland by a tally of 5-1.
The Buccaneers (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against Starmont (Arlington, IA). The Stars go into the Tri-Rivers - West bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Starmont tipped Turkey Valley (Jackson Junction, IA), 13-0, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Maquoketa Valley Wildcats (Delhi, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, May 29. Midland will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 11-3 league win over Springville (Springville, IA).
