July 2, 2025: Le Grand, IA 50142 The BCLUW Comets softball squad (Conrad, IA), was edged 2-1 in Wednesday's non-league contest with the host East Marshall Mustangs (Le Grand, IA)
With the triumph, East Marshall improves its record to 24-9 on the year. The Mustangs host Newton (Newton, IA) to face the Cardinals in a non-league contest on Thursday, July 3. The Cardinals enter the contest with a record of 8-18. Newton won 7-6 in their recent non-league contest against Fort Madison (Fort Madison, IA)
The Comets now hold a 19-8 record. They take the field next when they host Prairie City-Monroe for a non-league challenge on Thursday, July 3. BCLUW will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 9-1 non-league win over Knoxville (Knoxville, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 21-4.
