July 3, 2024: Le Mars, IA 51031 The Gehlen Catholic Jays edged the visiting South O'Brien Wolverines softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Wednesday's league challenge.
Next, the Jays play the George-Little Rock Mustangs (George, IA) in a War Eagle challenge, on Monday, July 8. Gehlen Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 1-15 record after their 10-3 league loss to Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn (Hartley, IA).
The Wolverines (10-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Woodbury Central (Moville, IA). The Wildcats enter the non-league challenge with a 19-9 record. In their last challenge, Woodbury Central was nudged by Hinton (Hinton, IA), 5-4, in a non-league challenge.
