In Tuesday's league battle, the host DeSoto Central Jaguars volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Horn Lake Eagles.

The Jaguars (4-3) will now prepare for their battle against Southaven (Southaven, MS). The Chargers come into the Class 6 Region 1 battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Southaven lost by Hernando (Hernando, MS), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Eagles clash with the Byhalia Indians (Byhalia, MS) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, August 17. Horn Lake will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Indians come into the battle with a 2-2 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Olive Branch (Olive Branch, MS).
