Kentucky High School Volleyball - Wayne County can't hold off Somerset
August 17, 2023: Somerset, KY 42501 The Wayne County Cardinals volleyball team (Monticello, KY), was edged 3-2 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the host Somerset Briar Jumpers (Somerset, KY)
The Briar Jumpers (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Rockcastle County (Mt. Vernon, KY). The Rockets come into the District 47 challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Rockcastle County was edged by Corbin (Corbin, KY), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Cardinals encounter the Bell County Bobcats (Pineville, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 19. Wayne County will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over South Laurel (London, KY).
