Georgia High School Softball - Gainesville topped by East Jackson
August 20, 2024: Gainesville, GA 30501 East Jackson Eagles (Commerce, GA) supporters left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Gainesville Red Elephants (Gainesville, GA), 27-7 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, East Jackson improves its record to 5-2 on the year. The Eagles host Towns County (Hiawassee, GA) to play the Indians in a non-league game on Thursday, August 22. The Indians enter the game with a record of 2-3. Towns County lost 11-1 in their recent non-league game against Fannin County (Blue Ridge, GA)
The Red Elephants now hold a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Central Gwinnett for a non-league game on Wednesday, August 21. Gainesville will play a Black Knights squad coming off a 18-4 non-league win over Discovery (Lawrenceville, GA). The Black Knights record now stands at 5-3.
