Georgia High School Softball - Oglethorpe County bounces Gainesville
September 16, 2024: Gainesville, GA 30501 The Oglethorpe County Patriots softball team scored 17 runs and held the host Gainesville Red Elephants to 0 in the Patriots non-league win on Monday.
The Patriots now possess a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Commerce for a 1A D-I Region 8 battle on Tuesday, September 17. Oglethorpe County will confront a Tigers team coming off a 9-1 non-league loss to Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 5-13.
With the loss, Gainesville moves to 4-13 on the season. The Red elephants travel to Chattahoochee (Alpharetta, GA) to confront the Cougars in a 5A Region 7 battle on Tuesday, September 17. The Cougars come into the battle with a record of 5-10. Chattahoochee lost 14-5 in their recent league battle against Roswell (Roswell, GA)
