The Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds topped the visiting Villa Madonna Vikings volleyball squad by a final score of 3-0 in Wednesday's non-league game.

Next up, the Thoroughbreds face the Conner Cougars (Hebron, KY) in a non-league game, on Thursday, August 21. Newport Central Catholic will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The Cougars come into the outing with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Notre Dame Academy (Park Hills, KY).
