The Sweeny Bulldogs nudged the visiting Freeman Golden Eagles volleyball team by a tally of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Bulldogs now have a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to Nimitz for a non-league outing on Friday, August 22. Sweeny will play a Cougars team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Alief Hastings (Houston, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 3-4.
