Freeman Golden Eagles (Katy, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host Westside Wolves (Houston, TX), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Golden Eagles (3-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Heights (Houston, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, Heights was nudged by MacArthur (Houston, TX), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Wolves meet the Carnegie Vanguard Rhinos (Houston, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 22. Westside will attempt to advance on its 2-5 season record. The Rhinos go into the test with a 1-3 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Porter (Porter, TX).
