Ohio High School Volleyball - Northview over Springfield
August 21, 2025: Holland, OH 43528 In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Northview Wildcats volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Springfield Blue Devils.
The Wildcats (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Lake (Millbury, OH). The Flyers come into the non-league challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last test, Lake gained a win over Notre Dame Academy (Toledo, OH), 3-1, in a non-league test.
The Blue Devils now sport a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Archbold for a non-league test on Monday, August 25. Springfield will face a Blue Streaks squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Hilltop (West Unity, OH). The Blue Streaks record now stands at 2-1.
Match Summary
HOLLAND - In a crossover NLL match between the Cats of Northview and the Blue Devils of Springfield, and it was Northview with the victory in three sets with a total team effort. Northview hit .375 as a team, 44 kills, 40 digs, and 13 aces pushing Northview to 1-2 overall.
Leading for the Cats was junior setter, Alayna Sauer with 38 assists, 4 kills, hitting .667, 5 digs, 3 aces. Those assists were distributed between Talia Twigg (11 kills, hitting .500), Bri Langenderfer (10 kills, hitting .529) and Frankie Ramsdell-Washington (9 kills, hitting .438, while adding 3 blocks). Sophomore libero, Jade Hagan, had a team high 14 digs, and the Cats received 3 aces from junior DS, Charlotte Narewski and Kyra Ervin.
The Cats return to non-conference play on Saturday as they travel to Lake High School.
