The Northview Wildcats topped the visiting Southview Cougars volleyball squad by a final score of 3-0 in Wednesday's non-league game.

Match Summary

SYLVANIA - The crosstown showdown had a little different flare to it this time around, as it was a win or go home scenario for both teams as the first round of the OHSAA State Tournament took place at Northview, as the Cats took on Southview. In this Sectional Final, the Cats were able to defend on their home court and advance to play Anthony Wayne on Monday, October 20th at Lake High School in the District Semifinals with a score of 3-0 to move to 14-9 on the season.
Leading for Northview was senior outside hitter, Talia Twigg, with a team high 12 kills, hitting .423, 12 digs, and 3 aces. Also leading for Northview was senior hitter, Bri Langenderfer with 8 kills; junior middle blocker Frankie Ramsdell-Washington with 5 kills, hitting .364, while adding 5 blocks; and freshman Lilly Smith with 4 kills, hitting .200. Sophomore middle blocker, Reese Holmes added another 4 blocks for the Cats and junior setter Alayna Sauer dished out 27 assists and 7 digs in the victory.
